I'm not sure this has been attempted but would you be able to loot a drop pod?

If so, what could you count it as?

Mesopotamia. The Kingdom Where we Secretly Reign.

I've seen them run as Trukks.

It's basically a Drop Pod torn open and strapped to a buggy of some sort.

I was thinking it would be cool if you could rig it up in such a way that the retro booster rocket things on the bottom could count as a Deff Rolla. You know, drive up to the side of a tank and melt 'er down.

it would count as a normal drop pod but the strom bolter could be a shoota and it can carry 10 orks or 20 grots but no nobz

Under the couch

There are no rules for looting specific vehicles in the Ork codex currently. Just the generic 'Looted Wagon'...

So you would need to create some sort of house rules for it.

Inside that little light in your refridgerator

Or if you're feeling adventurous, have the gutted pod being lifted by thousands of Grots; with the Warboss on the top screaming orders.

If anyone asks, it's a warboss on warbike.

Check the Imperial Armor books for rules that might have something you want. They are usually fairly "balanced" for normal games, and most people I know are ok with most of the IA stat sheets, just let them know before hand.

I would be fine to use in apoc, although you would have to change the weapon or maybe just a rule that is counts as wreked after its come down because its fallen apart.

With a little work it could be a chinork from IA8 (transport helicopter)

I have some Epicast ork Drop podz.

For rules we treat them as "immobile Deepstriking trukks" and use them in Apoc games or other 'beer and pretzel' varients where no one is really butt-hurt over using goofy and fun things.
