I am going to Games Day in the Uk for the first time this year and I have heard about the scrap deamon competition they have done in previous years.

Does anyone know:
1. Are they running it this year?

2. Any Tips or Infomation about it?

Hi Raptors, If im correct its on every year and you actaully make a model on the day out of bits of sprue etc which they provide. Theres a theme to which you build your model and once you build it you then enter it and the winner gets the trophy, I think you get to collect the models you built after aswell

They had one of these at the US GamesDay last year, too, and I think it was one of the most popular events. Unfortunately, a lot of folks were just trying to get free models (nothing wrong with that, of course, but it did make it hard to get in and/or find bits for a cool entry) but it was a lot of fun

It's a fun event, really.

If you're a converting maniac such I am you'll have great time!
Basically there's hundred of cheap sprue (not a great variety of it though) from both 40k and Whfb and you just try to make the best you can with it.

Just one advice: get your own glue and tools (I'm not sure it's 100% regular but it's such a war to get hold of the converting tools)
