Lately I've been reading Helsreach, by suggestion of my old store manager (have moved far away ) I never really liked the fluff behind them until I read this book (although technically haven't finished it yet). Suffice to say, the reason I am starting this Blog (which is my first ever so be gentle) is because I fell in love with the black Templars.

So I go into my new local store (which is handily only about 10 minutes of walking away from where I live at the moment) and I buy, the black Templars upgrade sprue, dark angels upgrade sprue (still not entirely sure how the sales assistant sold this one to me...) a battalion and the BT codex. I have an emperors champion model which I plan to use as an HQ (not sure about the legality of using him as my only HQ, if someone could confirm this for me I would be very thankful).

So, Once I have sat down and had a better look through the codex ill begin building things, and looking at shiny new plastics. I hope to have some pictures of the models up very soon, and as I said before, this is my first Blog so, im still not quite sure what to do blog-wise.


Back from a funeral, having finally finished reading helsreach, and happy in doing so, I've decided, that once I've finished painting what I've got already, im going to buy Grimaldus and a command squad, and convert his squad from the book.

He'll be painted to look more like a tempar at a later date, I.E when i can be bothered

I had a spare DA box too, guess I'm just a sucker. I used it to convert hooded Sword Brethren.

been looking through the DA sprues, and found lot of shoulder pads with swords on them, no wings, may use those to identify sword brethren

Here are pictures of my first two neophytes, thankfully i didn glue the plasma gun down, I remembered he was gonna have a flamer just as i was uploading the pictures, so just imagine him with a flamer
