I've been wanting to play imperial guard for some time but i can't seem to find a good place to buy any tallarn desert raiders, ebay isn't working for me because most of the models are being sold individually and with the shipping from the UK it isn't economical to spend 5 dollars on a single used figurine, anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried ForgeWorld.co.uk it wont help with shipping costs but im sure they have Tallarn turban raiders on there.

You know I think you just might be SOL. Dunno when this changed but you used to be able to buy the tallarn figs as well as the steel legion straight from the GW site but looking at there site they are not up there anymore. Which is rather sad but I really think ebay is your only bet if you really want them.

Direct order from Games Workshop. Look in the Imperial Guard collector's range in their online catalog.

Also depends on the type of list you want to run. If you're running a tank-heavy list, ForgeWorld has a good tank commander model, and has some Rough Riders as well.

Otherwise, like Raxmei said, direct order from GW's website.

really the only thing i need is heavy weapons teams, i can convert any tank to desert, my army will primarily tanks, rattlings, storm troopers, and heavy weapons teams, now i would love to find maybe 2 - 3 infantry squads of the raiders to kind of bring the paint scheme together and make the army more unique

Autocannon team, Heavy Bolter team, Missile Launcher team, Lascannon team, Mortar team, infantry squad, some infantry guys, some other infantry guys.

Just as a quick note, the the GW website doesn't list the Tallarns under the Imperial Guard section. You have to go to Warhammer 40k -> Collectors -> Imperial Guard.

I just sold my Tallarn. I would have liked to finish the army, but too spendy in metal. *If* I decide to do Guard again, it will be Catachans.

Damn buying from the GW website is looking pricey, i might bite the bullet for the heavy weapons teams tho, i need 6 tho!! lol

Yeah, the Forgeworld Tallarn stuff actually isn't all that much more expensive, especially if you buy in threes. Of course with Forgeworld you do have delays for manufacture and international shipping.

What models are you planning on using to make the infantry squads you'd need in order to use heavy weapons teams?
