Naw my father has a Pewter Chess set. And they're light and dont feel like a metal at all. My brother did say they arent painted so Im thinking more of a plastic coating. Hence the mix up. Oh well

Nope they're pewter. Its just the stuff they used to color them which feels wierd and threw me off. theyre bout the same size as a mini and they weigh the same so yeah.
