Hello Dakka, I need help creating a Tau-only (no vespids/kroot) that will play competively against most armies in a tourney (facing mostly vanilla SM, with a BA and BT here and there and some Orkz and Eldar). I'd like some advice to make this army mean, this list so far is my "just for fun" army list, it needs more teeth.
I'm still fairly new to this army, though I’ve pulled my crisis suit loadouts from the article someone posted on Dakka and have loved the way they've performed so far.

11 Firewarriors, 1 Shas'ui with Bonding Knife, 2 Gun Drones 155pts
11 Firewarriors, 1 Shas'ui with Bonding Knife, 2 Gun Drones 155pts
11 Firewarriors, 1 Shas'ui with Bonding Knife, 2 Gun Drones 155pts

Heavy Support

3 XV88 Broadsides, with advanced Stabilization sys., two sheild drones, a team leader, and a bonding knife
280 pts

Rail-Head with burst cannons and distruption pods
155 pts

Sky Ray with burst cannons and distruption pods
140 pts

while i had originally wanted to go with two Rail-heads, i decided on a full squad of broadsides to give me more STR 10 AP 1 shots. I've taken a liking to the sky ray, and when combined with my pathfinders i love their ability to help take out front-line heavy enemy units, allowing the FW to eat up the rest of the fodder. The only army lists i have issue with are Deep Strike armies, while the XV8s can help the FW's firing line, i've lost many models to a couple dreadies, or a full squad or two of termies. Not to mention. . . flying deepstriking landraiders

1. You absolutely *must* put MTs on the tanks, so they can move Combat Speed and fire all guns. You want them to move, just so they don't get hit automatically, if assaulted (which happens a lot in 5e, wouldn't you agree?). And, who wouldn't want 6 dice of Burst Cannons hitting enemy Infantry while the RG corn-holes something else?

2. Far less dire: Possibly trade one FW crew out for XV8s. A gunline approach with so many FWs *might* be okay, but I would like the sharper fire power of a few more FireStorms or FKs.

Other than the essential MTs for the HHs, looks okay.
