So I have three unbuilt unpainted armies in a closet back home. I've finally risen to the task that I need to start painting them one at the time so I made three test models as follows:



They are very different armies and I'll discuss what I want to do with them based on each figure.



First off, Deathwing, all terminators banners for all squadleaders and a healthy dose of freehand. The bases will be space hulk/tech factory and the army will be led by a heavily converted Belial.



Second, The Innocents, a penal legion themed guard army (although I'll be running them as vets). Light conversions all around, and a mix of catachan, cadian and necromundan bits. Led by arbitrators and commisars. Bases will be city fight themed.


Lastly, Ulthwé, the damned eldar. Plans for this army includes a seer council on bikes, grav tanks with lots of freehand and bases themed around the craftworld itself.

What I wonder now is what would Dakka want to see more of? Remember that these are test models (+ the photos are quite crappy) and so some details are likely to change.

I want more terminators, but the inmate looks great. How did you do the chains?

thats some serious cash sat in a closet

I like the guard a lot, but I reckon the eldar would look the best as you seem pretty good at the bone colour!

Look good, I love the guard, and the termie looks great, Colors aren't doing it for me on the Eldar, my opinnion, Why body, black helmet, red face. Red Gun, I don't paint eldar though, so that's just my opinion.

Otherwise, the White comes off really great, a real natural creamy white, my favorite kind (no homo) and if you do your army like this you will have 3 really nice armies.

Didn't think the models in the closet would get that much attention but what can I say... I'm a horder.

@berglin: the chains were bought in a model shop I think it's a scale chain for boats or similar.
