Here's my Eldar Super Heavy.

Like everything I do it's not completely finished and has mistakes but most of the way there.

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

Very nice. Personally I'd give the D-cannon (IIRC) a wash of gyrophon (sp) sepia then re-highlight with white to add a bit more depth. Or are you planning to do something different with the whites?

I have a Cobra and a Scorpion I need to strip before I can paint it, but I have so many other jobs to do first...

Actually i've been stuck trying to figure out what to do to the white areas. It's been a problem with all my Beil-Tan stuff. Sepia sounds like a genius idea it'll make it look a bit bone like too which could work well. Then some bleached bone before the white highlight maybe?

I did try blue in before and it took over the colour too much even watered down and never looked right.

My god, when I just saw that I felt a small urge to get one myself It's a beautiful model, although the vinework on the white areas could use a bit of tidying up.

Nice model, seconding the wash on the white. For the red bits, I think you could paint them up like gems without too much trouble, since they're relatively large. Also, more vines is better! Some of the recessed bits on the cannon muzzle and flaps along the side look a tad strange just white on white. A wash might fix that, or you might consider going over them with black. Just some suggestions to help it along, it's a very impressive superheavy (I'm jealous!)

Thanks for the possitive comments guys

I think i'll try the speia wash at the weekend.

I have wondered about painting vines wrapping around the cannon but its pain to put right mistakes on a white background so I'll think about that.

Its always a bit daunting putting a brush to a >£100 model anyway.

I have to say, that's pretty badass. I think the Russes on my shelf shrunk back a little bit.
