I was wondering the other day after reading the tyranid codex (the war of adaption) what would happen if the nids got whole of Primarch Dna as its surely make an extermly back-ass create what do you think?

Plus it's fairly credible that a GW marketing campaign for their biggest release would fit on one side of A4 - Flashman

They would create a Primarch-Hive Tyrant.

probably they will get something that is freakishly scary( depending on the chapter i guess, like say Blood Angels?)

in form of an Hive Tyrant Prime or something
i don't think they will be humanoid though, it seems to go against tyranid design policy or whatever their equivalent is

but then really? would it possible?, would the hive mind charge at a whole chapter? ( considering that a primarch stuff is the most important thing for a space marine)

How so? Aren't spacemarines the greatest warriors of mankind? Think of all the adavntages the Hive mind could gain from infantry like spacemarines only far stronger and more numerous.

strongest warrior of mankind yes, but really? tyranid probably have absorbed SM and some other humanoid race here and there, it still didn't result in something that is humanoid(e.g a locust)

sure it would be effective , and probably unstoppable , but would it look like a human? considering the rest of the species look very similar to each other ( Bug/Lizard thing or a combination thereof)

Tyranid grew their own weapon, why they want to carry it , if they can grew it on spot?
it will probably still look alot like the ordinary tyranid

Actually the original Tyrant Guard, based off SM genes, is pretty humanoid. Recently they've made all the Tyranids much less humanoid so if it happened now, I'd say it would be something more akin to a four-legged hive tyrant with Zoanthrope level psychic ability.

personly not matter whatDna the hive mind has they all make great looking creatues (excepte the 3rd ed warriors )
but i was thinking that russ is out there and also theres the 2 unnamed pirmarch or the choas ones any of these source could give the DNA.
also it would be intresting to see the primarchs aganist nids as the hive mind would learn that they are the main threat.
also why wouldn't the hive mind start targeting space marine home worlds as it seems only they have the means in the imperium to stop the hive fleet (oh and the inqustion but shhhhhhhhhhhhhh ) so what you think?

let's be fair , there's multiple account of people staving off tyranid invasion
and if dawn of war 2 is canon then........ welll
around 12 people had stopped a tyranid invasion, by injecting stuff the hive mind can't digest.....
has there been account of 'nids eating chaos infested stuff, or daemons?, since well if they try to eat the chaos primarch.....( who is now a daemon prince, essentially a daemon in their own right......)

not confirmed dead primarch
1.Blood raven Primarch, whoever the hell he is (or is blood raven a splinter chapter?)
2.Russ
3. Guilimann? (vegetative)
4. Khan (dark eldar webway)
5. Lion'el: missing, sleeping in the rock
6. Alpharius or Omegon ----> one of the two ,one is a traitor, one is probably loyal, one get their ass kicked by Guilimann, so......
7. Vulkan (webway)
8. Corax (webway)

there....... that is the list of loyalist primarch not dead

then Tyranid don't exactly need living DNA right?

Tough Tyrant Guard

It is heavily implied that what made the Primarchs so uber was something special between them and the Emperor (perhaps he imparted a fragment of his own soul who knows). This is why the Emperor only created a handful of them - they were intended to be avatars of his will so that "he" could make his presence felt across a massive galaxy.

Brilliant as the Tyranids are, getting ahold of a Primarch would not allow them to create something on-par with a Primarch (at least not in the same way), just the same as Fabius Bile can't engineer an army of Primarchs, even though technically he knows how. They both lack that something extra the Emperor threw in.

That said, the Tyranids would no doubt begin to employ (and improve upon) the useful traits seen in the Primarchs - enhanced durability, strength etc. Quite where it would be employed, I don't know - protection for key units? Tyrants, Tyrant Guard?

The Tyranids aren't in the habit of rolling out T6 Termagants (even though they probably could), because it's just not worth it in terms of effort-reward.

Wasn't the official fluff that the tyranids created the tyrant guard with what they learned from space marine modifications (so basicly tyrant guard are tyranid warriors with a hint of space marine thrown in (this may sound stupid if you have only seen the most recent tyrant guards, the ones before walked upright like tyranid warriors))? Did you know they used eldar to create zoanthropes?

Going by that logic a tyranid primarch would probably, as others have said, be something tyrantlike, just much scarier.
