so i recently came across some ork models for cheap and i'm attempting to build a kult of speed based around wazdakka and zagstruk (i love the speed kults, i'm building a khan sm list as well). the fluff around these two special characters is some of the best i've read in the 40k universe. i haven't had a chance to play orks yet so any help on building a list is appreciated, especially what problems i might face. this is my first army list post so i hope it's easily read and understood.

wazdakka will run with the nob bikers and the big mek will run with the burna's in a battlewagon, the boyz will run in the second battle wagon. i've mostly built this list from a fluff stand point, for example gretchin outnumber orks on a huge scale so every ork army should have at least one unit and how can anyone bring wazdakka and not include a warbiker squad as troops. i'd like to include a squad of warbuggies with rpj as well (dropping some nob bikers and eguipment) because the speed freaks will ride anything and everything fast but at 25 us $ per model that might be a while. i also think that setting up nobz for wound allocation is kinda a dick move (imo) so in friendly games i'll take away most of that equipment. any help will be appreciated. thanks

chill dude. many lists sometimes go through without any response. I dont like the storm boyz. expensive adn very frail with only 10 boyz. boarding plank is not needed in a wagon with deff rolla. I also would replace the PK on the mek with a burna wince hes with the burnas. with points saved maybe add in some warbuggies/more koptas or add in some more klaws to the nobz. maybe add in some trukk boyz

My Zagstrukk model is getting very dusty. 10 stormboys w/ zagstruk doesn't work too well, thats 200 points for a slim chance of assaulting on the DS, and if your DSing that close to your enemies a good chance of a mishap. Sometimes they will do well, Most times they won't, but those points could be spent on something that disappoints less often. I would spend these points on the buggies below, to keep up the whole Kult of Speed feel.

If you want rokkit buggies, I saw somewhere on the internet(maybe here) a good idea to make rokkit buggies out of AOBR defkoptas, which you can find super cheap on ebay, just buy some wheels off ebay and your gtg.

Warbikers are a great choice imo, they do a lot better than people give them credit for, they are great at zipping around and chewing up infantry with their T/L dakkaguns and beating on any troops that can't fight back well. I just wouldn't assault anything that goes through armor as they are too expensive to let your opponent whittle down in CC.

I might put a grot rigger on the BW that doesnt have the mech instead of a boarding plank, unless you plan on keeping your boys inside most of the time, then I would keep the BP for PK drive-bys.

Other than that it looks like a very fun list to play.

pffff idk........ 7 nob bikers and wazdakka? in the same place? that sounds like.... vindicator shot-insteand t death.... wounds on twos. sorry, but 640 points of your army just got wrecked. I would split up the unit.

i've heard of doing this and i have a few of the defkoptas to try it with, thanks for the idea thats definately going to be cheaper ($25 a warbuggie, ouch). and i'll switch out the pk on the mekk w/ a burna, one more in that squad will be much better esp. with the def rolla being able to bust open transports to shoot up.

is it better than to run wazdakka w/ a warbikers squad or let him go alone? i'm worried about no invul save so i wanted some bodies for wound alloc.

theres not enough greenskins in that list.... maybe lose the elite unit of nob bikers for normal warbikers, they can hold objectives and you can fit lots in for 426 pts.

Stikkbombs are trash. Rokkit in Trukk boy squad? Never. Where's your bosspole?

Rokkit on trukk and no ram?? So you're obviously planning on assaulting into cover but are willing to risk getting immobilized on the way. I say stick to RPJ, ram.
