I want to give one of my squads of crisis twin-linked flamers with shield generators but im not sure if i need a multi tracker to fire the twin linked flamers a twin linked weapon counts as two weapon systems and i have a shield generator and not a multi tracker as a support system, Can i fire the twin linked flamer even though i dont have a multi tracker or will i have to replace the shield generators with multi trackers?

A twinlinked weapon may use, for tau, 2 weapon systems but it is ONE weapon when fired.

Under the couch

Twin-linked weapons fire as a single weapon.

They're only two weapons for the purposes of choosing battlesuit wargear.

Oh right thanks, its just that it says in the wargear that twin linked weapons count as 2 weapon systems and a multi tracker enables you to use to weapon systems in a turn

It counts as two weapons for the purpose of determining how many of you three "slot" you have filled on your armour.

When it come to determining how to fire said weapon, you turn to the rulebook. Twinlinked weapons counts as a single weapon when fird.

I would give anything if crysis suits had heavy flamers

The way I like to explain twin-linked weapons on Tau battlesuits goes kind of like this.

When gluing weapons to weapon hardpoints, they're two weapons.
When calculating point costs, they're one and a half weapons.
When firing, they're one weapon.

Hope that helps.

Although I do have to question your choice of a twin-linked flamer and a shield generator.

Anti-horde suicide squad?

Nix the shield generator, take a target lock instead. Save yourself fifteen points (suicide squads, which any Battlesuit squad that deepstrikes in close is going to be, need to be cheap) and allows them to each target a different unit, if a situation arises where it'd be useful for them to do so. And trust me, deep striking into flamer range is going to get them killed, shield generator or no.
