Subject: Are Whirlwinds acceptable count as for Exorcists?

I hate the current exorcist model that GW has but like the FW variant. The problem is the cost of the FW model. So I was thinking of using whirlwinds as "count as" for exorcist. Do you think anyone but TFG would have a problem with that? I haven't participated in any Tournies but, just as a stray thought, would those of you who are/were TOs have a problem with this substitution?
For comparison the FW exorcist: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Witch_Hunters/EXORCIST-COMPLETE-KIT.html
andand the FW whirlwind: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space-Marine-Tanks/WHIRLWIND-HYPERIOS-COMPLETE-KIT.html and the GW Whirlwind: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440276a&prodId=prod1670003
It seems like a reasonable substitute to me and the GW model is a more reasonable price as well. What do you think? I'm also open to other ideas so please feel free to chip in suggestions.

I'd happily allow it, yeah.
I expect the only people that would have a problem with it in a non-competitive environment would be a 'TFG' although in a tournament you'd want to check with the TO first but I'd expect it'd be OK.
I prefer the look of the Whirlwind anyways...

I suppose I wouldn't, as long as you tried to convert it to make it look more like a Sisters vehicle htan an Astartes one.
Also, GW spells it Exorcist.

I was thinking of buying the FW door set for SoBs but other than that and/or painting a Fleur de lis on them what would you do to make them less astartes and more sister like?

When I get home tonight I will post up pictures of one of my SOB Exorcists from the Order of St Ursula. I like the SM Whirlwinds MUCH better than the Organ style and with the proper ecclesiarstical bling, they look really nice. I used a bunch of Bretonian and Empire parts to assist in that.
I do use the "many missile" end of the whirlwinds, as opposed to the one with just 2 missiles.

I guess that's okay, although I really like seeing the actual exorcist on the field. Why doesn't anyone like that awesome model? It's so cool. If you want to play sisters, go all the way and make them look fluffy.

I like the model alot too. One of my favorites. It's everything a GW model should be: fanatical, horrible, crazy, over the top, ridiculous. Love it.

No reasonable person would have a problem with this.

Sadly, our hobby is filled with unreasonable people.

$43, technically, over forgeworld. Games Workshop has it as $57.
The FW one is definitely the better bargain.

According to my figures a FW exorcist with SoB doors is 38 GBP = 59.01 USD plus shipping to the states. The kicker is the doors. I can't figure out who would want an exorcist other than an SoB player and the doors should be part of the basic package. I sum it up to: like parent company like child company.

Well.. Icons are either from the Immolator Sprue, the Bretonian range.. the banner on the top is from Empire Flagellants..
Other fleurs can be found on Bretonian Knight shields and helmets. There is a "shrine" as well as a bretonian standard topper.
Not to mention dedicated retention of purity seals..

Do you think this would work? Buy an Immolator and a Whirlwind. Use the Immolator body and doors as the basis of the exorcist and then adding the whirlwind missile launcher to the back half of the immolator. And then just use the whirlwind body as a Rhino. Does anyone know if this is feasible? It looks like I'd save some cash Immolator + Whirlwind =79.50 USD, Exorcist + Rhino =90.75 USD.

That's what I get for only looking through the telescope using 1 end . The fact that the exorcist looks so much like a whirlwind is what started me thinking. It never occurred to me that an SM player may be looking for a varient whirlwind. Although, to be fair, FW does offer a very nice whirlwind varient of its own.
