Hello, I am returning to 40K after about 11 years away! Gosh, where has the time gone?
Nothing much seems to have changed drastically apart from me needing glassess to paint with. Not that I often use glasses to paint with, I normally use brushes, but you get the idea.
Currently working on painting a SM army, which I mostly bought on fleabay over a year ago, although I might sell them on and go for something a bit different like a Necron army. Speaking to a staff member at GW Stevenage who said he's seen the new Necron Immortals which are quite large and, most importantly, plastic.
Just reading the rules, has anything changed drastically?

This is what I am working on; a new colour scheme for a SM army. Don't think I have seen this anywhere else before:
Just needs a few highlights and I'm done. Well, apart from scouts, terminators, 6 bikes, 1 attack bike, Rhino... . . .. . .
When my Necrons come in from Fleabay after a quick introduction to Fiary Power Spray I intend to do something different with them too, plain vanilla drybrushed metal is boring.
