Forgive me if I have the wrong impression (very possible ) but most skaven lists I see usually uses the ranged weapon teams in their units. I understand why seeing they can be very powerful with either shooting up to 10 bullets, burning a good deal of RnF troops, or being a mobile catapult with fixed wounding. The Doom-Flayer on the other hand is some strange armored skaven lawn mower. But in the light of 8th with infantry blocks galore, can it be a useful tool bringing a good deal of supporting attacks (up to 13 on the charge I believe!) or is ranged weapons the way to use the teams?

good to hear. with the IoB starter, I'll probably see a lot more swordmasters. perfect target for a doom flayer! (a +3 save can hold up against) plus it is also the cheapest option along with the ratling
