Hi there, thought id make a journal of my army build and hopefully get some help along the way.
Im mostly using the Cadians for my imperial guard army, but I will be mixing in some other stuff..
Im basing my army in a sort of barren desert landscape (mostly cuz im crap at painting the bases ) and because of that i chose to incorporate camoflage on my guys fatiques.

Anyways here are some of the models that are sort of done..

Sorta stole the marine scout sergeant, kinda liked the idea of either a platoon commander or sergeant with a bolter..

Ratling sniper

Space marine scout i got from my brother, need to repaint the cloak, face and some parts of the armor tho..

An old figure i got from somewhere, think ill use it a as veteran sergeant with shotgun..

And a sniper who's gonna go in the same squad as the other cloaked guy.

That's most of what ive got photos of right now, cant really get my camera to work..

Anyways, thanks in advance for any help.

A little update of sorts but nothing new really (since i can't get my frackin' camera to work!).

Anyways, 2 infantry platoons är "pavarotti done", which really means that the base and some details still look like s***.
Same goes for my lascannon sentinel and some other random stuff..

In the middle of converting some heavy weapons teams and painting up some old tallarn and cadian hwts.

And my command hq or maybe just command squad is getting close to "pavarotti done"..

Hopefully i'll get the camera rolling again this weekend so i can get some help with some of the stuff, cheers.

I was actually numbed for a moment by the look of the sniper rifle on the last guy, you did a great job to make ik look like a real rifle, with the wood stock and difference in metallic/black. Very good job!

Thanks, thou the sniper is one of the details i think needs some more work.. the black is just too black and havent painted the emblem..

Yeah i'll hopefully get my camera workin today so pics in the evenin maybe.

Camera working again so here comes an update or really just a postage of what i have right now..
As i posted before, most of it needs a lot of more work and the rest needs some work too..
The bases are not done, the ones with black armour have white markings - they are going bye bye and im not really sure if im gonna repaint everyone in black armor or if im gonna have one squad with green (im lazy!)..


Old cadians that i repainted, lost some details since i didnt take the time to clean off the other guys paint


A sarge and two troopers, my first models i think, in my old paintscheme.


More troopers, the two on the right are put together from what i had left on my desk, hence the bad conversions.

Thats my "new" paint scheme, yes i know the faces and the white markings look like sh t, gonna fix it.

Man it really is a pain to upload and put photos up! Well thats it for now, got a bunch of other stuff lying around but i think ill complete these first..

Some really original stuff here, great job! I particularly like the guy who looks like he's setting a charge (under the 'even more troops' bit ) and the first old cadians you posted. Good use of Telion too! Will deffo be watching this thread

My only issue really is that the old cadian minis look like they've starved for a month compared to the new plastic ones..

Sorry for the lack of updates but i've been really sick for 2 weeks, i think, but im starting to feel better now so will be getting back to work soon..

i like the chainspear actually!

These are pretty sick, I think you should touch up the faces they are a little messy looking, but everything else is really nice.

You might consider adding some TALLARN DESERT RAIDERS from forgeworld to your army just to give it a little more desert spice. Your painted guys look nice. Also if you do vehicles maybe solar panels, moisture converters or extra water barrels.

Pennywise ; yeah thats on the to-do list, just havent got around to it yet..

Crimonmicc; Ive actually given that some thought already but im not really sure on how to include.. Thinkin maybe like a vet. squad or just heavy weapons or something..
Im not really a big fan of the Chimaeras (spelling) so im currently thinking of converting some humvee models ive found in a store just have to think about it some more..
