Can Vanguard Veterans deepstrike with Sanguinary Priests and still charge? Or will he have to be detatched at the DZ and run to stay in coherency?

Re-Read the Heroic Intervention Rule. It makes it very clear.

For the record, what you are suggesting is impossible. The Priest cannot move any further, so it is impossible for him to detach.

Furthermore, Heroic Intervention has a restriction on Running if you are using it.

Units do not give their abilities to IC's that join them. So yes the San Priest would have to "catch up" to them if you wanted to use their Heroic Intervention rule.

My mistake, after re-reading the heroic intervention rules, the last line states that HE cannot be used if an IC has joined the squad.

No problem. Everyone misses things time to time.

Don't forget the Priest has a 6" bubble, so stick him in a Land Raider to make it even bigger!
