Death Company still need a transport of some sort, or rage is going to kill you.

I would just like to ask, why Vanguard in a BA army?

I guess the jump packers will deep strike.
Vanguard benefits from the DoA rule and so can eventually charge upon arrival.
Moreover, if the DC is deep striking it may not become a liability.

That's the idea, I mainly want to deep strike the whole army, popping stuff with the melta weapons as I land and charging the 'big and meaty' targets with the VV.

My only concern is Whichever Dread I pull out 1st turn is going to get shot up by the entire enemy army. I guess thats unavoidable either way. Their reaction to the dread most likely will be to clump up, at least a little bit. So that will work out as I may be able to get a good multi-charge 2nd turn.

Well, I'd drop the Dreads and consider a pure army of jump packers.
You may have a look into my list posted yesterday.

But they just look so COOL!

Your probably right, for the points a command squad with 4 meltas would probably be better, but dammit their so cool.

I was toying with the idea of a sanguinary guard unit w/ chapter banner and PF, maybe some flamers.
