Hi , its been 21 days since we have any sort of update on Redstarone , well since that thread is locked and all.

But is it safe for us to trade / make purchase from him again?
Appreciate for some sort of update /info from swap mods .

In all cases when making a trade or sale set up using this forum, Caveat Emptor (buyer beware). The owners and moderators of Dakka cannot and will not help you in any way if something goes wrong.

EDIT: Ketara's ruling on Transaction Reports:

It is recommended that before you start a trade on DakkaDakka, that you use the Search Function to look for Transaction Reports. This way, if there has been trouble with a trader before, you can quickly assess and digest all of the available info, and decide whether or not to deal with those users. However, please note that simply having a Transaction Report is not necessarily a black mark against a user, simply the fact that someone has felt that they have had difficulties with them. It is recommended that you read a Transaction Report before coming to a decision about a user.

The thread was locked 3 weeks ago , if there are some sort of progress or solution , im sure its good news to let anyone know.
If the issue isnt resolved , then i guess swap shop members have the right to know and communicate between each other for the current situation.

yes i have heard the no liability enough times.

If A screws B would it be considered healthy by B to try to restart that relationship?

I'm going to lock this thread, as this is not the way to go about discussing these kinds of situations at all.

Every person involved in outstanding trades with redstarone should be well aware of the current situation with him. If they are not, they can PM Jin or myself and we will provide what details we can / are aware of.

The transaction report was locked due to his unwillingness to resolve and / or communicate things via that thread. All the parties involved have his phone number / email address / etc. and are continuing to work to resolve the disputed trades that way.

It's worth noting that NONE of the trades and commissions in question originated on Dakka. It's simply that redstarone was banned from both Bartertown and RogueMarket, where many of the trades had been initiated I believe. I'm not sure of the ratio of what trades were started where, only that none were started on Dakka.

We allowed the transaction report to be posted as a means for all of those involved to communicate. When it became clear that redstarone was either unable or unwilling to communicate details of his status on the outstanding trades via the transaction report thread, it was locked, and all those involved are continuing to attempt to communicate with him via other means.

It was NOT resolved, and that should answer your question in the original post above.
