Help me make it, por favor. And by 'fluffy' I mean fluffy, not just running Shrike - so no infiltrated Assault Terminators. No heavy armor, for that matter. Bonus points if you can do it without scouts. Automatic A if you can make it actually competitive.
This is what I have so far:
Shadow Captain Kayvaan Shrike
???
???
???
10 Assault Marines?

Fluffy?
Either accept the RG is a tactical army and fields the necessary tools, so "no X" isn't fluffy at all, or give us a hint at whose interpretation of
fluffy you want us to rely upon when replying to your thread.
IIRC, fluffy isn't set in stone and there are different versions already existant.
Dedicated RG site: http://sonsofcorax.freeforums.org/
IMHO, fluff should hint at this:
- mobile units
- focus at objectives and mission
- change what doesn't work.
Seems its more a playstyle than specific units.

Alright, I'll clarify: the Lexicanum's version of Raven Guard:
The Raven Guard are known for hitting weak points in enemy defenses hard and they perform lightning strike upon locations of tactical importance to cripple their enemy. The Raven Guard disdain the notion of recklessly charging into enemy ranks. This differentiates their tactics from those of the Blood Angels. The Raven Guard rely heavily on their Scouts for pinpointing enemy positions and to scout for good drop sites. Because of their hit and run tactics they also make extensive use of Assault Squads. The Tactical Squads of the Raven Guard are often deployed via Thunderhawks or Drop Pods. The favorite weapons of the Raven Guard Commanders are the Lightning Claws and it is a common sight that their command squads also come equipped with these weapons in addition to their Jump Packs.
Heavy armor doesn't scream rapidly-deployable lightning strikes to me.

HQ
Shrike
Elites
Sternguard
Troops
3 squads of Drop pod marines
2 squads of scouts

Put however many squads of Assault marines and Sternguard as you want.

That seems like it would lack anti-tank. A lot.

That's how the fluff paragraph you posted looks like. You could give melta bombs to the assault troops.

Nah. Dreads are fine, speeders are fine, etc.
Basically all I'm trying to figure out is if it's possible to go assault-heavy with the vanilla codex without using Land Raiders. I honestly don't think it is.
