Alas, I am torn on which project to start. From what I understand Empire is now a tier 1 army(although I don't know why) and Elves are tier 2.
I'm mostly a painting and modelling guy, winning the game isn't a big deal for me, as long as my army looks pretty.

Empire pro's:
I know how to play it.
Infinite paint scheme options
Versatile army builds
easy kit bash conversions

con's:
I hate 7th edition infantry, meaning I'd have to mass produce 6th ed. replicas which would be time consuming.

High Elves Pro's:
very nice looking army and models
goes well against the wifes dark elves
option of running dragons
second best magic in the game

con's:
supposed new wave of models out in october means that I'd be forced to wait on models, and just paint archers and spearmen for the next 2 months.

Someone push me in a direction. I like both ideas but knowing me I'd end up half assing both.
