I can tell you haven't been able to play Tau in a while because this is a heavily 4th edition list. It's going to be great at taking out infantry, but your going to struggle against Mechanized Armies. You haven't got enough missile pods or railguns for 2000 pts. Try shaving off like 75% of your units unit upgrades so you can spend more points on actual guns.

Let's take your Devilfish for example. The only upgrade it *needs* is the Disruption Pod. There are two optional upgrades you can take for DF, the multitracker or the sensor spines, but don't buy both just buy one of the two. This way your DF is only 95 points. Right now your paying 120 points for your Devlfish. With 2 devilfish like this your spending 50 points on basically nothing useful. Use those 50 points to get more units. Heck that could buy you a Battlesuit with twin-linked Missile pods.

This is the problem with all your units. They have upgrades they don't need and it's sucking up all the points that could be used on more units.

Bear in mind I'm trying to help and I hope this doesn't offend you.

On the Fire Warriors, I'd drop them to nine Shas'la each and call it a day.

Would take Gun drones with the Broadsides just to take S8+ shots instead of Shield drones

Shield drones>Shield Gen.

Try a Burst cannon/Missle pod/Multitracker set up on your Suits.

In general, too many expensive upgrades all around.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Kroot are you best friends. I would try to fit one sqaud of anywhere from 14-ish to 21-ish

Thanks for the feedback!

@TimW: I didn't take offense to anything you said. I just haven't played 5th Ed. with Tau yet so I am unfamiliar with how they work. I'll rework the army to get rid of most of the upgrades. The Devilfish was a great example. I'll see what I can buy with the points I save.

@Iur_tae_mont: I will have to rework how the drone situation works for my suits. Right now they are going off of 4th Ed. rules. I still am not sure if drones will die first or not anymore. I just like the survivability of them. I'll have to play a few games and see how things work with them. As for the Kroot I have a squad of 20 w/ Shaper and 4 hounds. I wasn't going to put them into the list, but after reading the C&C I think they would be a great benefit.

All in all I'll shave down the upgrades, see how many points I have left over, and then assess what I want to buy from that. I'll post up a revised list when I get the chance.

Thanks for all the C&C guys. Keep it coming. Very helpful!

Not a fan of TL Burst cannons on the HQ. means he needs to be close. I rather have missile pods or maybe swap out one for a flamer/fusion blaster
