Soooo was the idea to have a lizard army loaded down with fire? Because that's kinda neat, and totally doable. In general though I think your saurus blocks ( TG included) suffer from being too wee, and you could do with more command on the skinks and less command on the camos, as well as a lot less stuff on the slann. Here's my take: L: Slann [FIRE] - BSB, focused rumination, focus of mystery, cupped hands = 395 H: Skink Priest [HEAVENS] - engine, diadem = 380 H: Skink Chief - burning blade, ironcurse icon, shield, light armor = 84 C: 18 Saurus - full command = 228 C: 18 Saurus - full command = 228 C: 17 Skinks - full command, kroxigor = 162 S: 16 Temple Guard - banner of eternal flame, full command = 301 S: 6 Camo Skinks = 72 R: Sally = 75 R: Sally = 75 ------ 2000 Slann is the same basic toad you'll see in 99% of lizard armies, but it keeps him cheap-ish - and makes him the BSB, totally key. Also he can't take magical armor since he's a caster without a rule that says he can take magical armor. Engine priest got striped down as well, and the chief I swapped over to have some flaming attaks (!) as well as provide a ward for his skinky buddies against artillery. Frankly he's mostly for fun. Also, I couldn't see that the staff was going to do him much good when deployed with anybody he could deploy with? Saurus got boosted up with more numbers, now ready to go 6-wide for face smashing. SNK unit has command for a tiny bit of oomph, though with 1 krox and only 17 skinks not sure what they do. The hero should help them tackle other light-med infantry. TG got a nice even number when combined with the slann, and they got the flaming banner because it fits theme  Sadly the camo skinks lost some of their number, but I needed points from somewhere and these expensive dudes are it. And then the sallies are sallies. Mostly though: Yay for fire! - Salvage

That is a nice list but I have no clue what the stuff from the BRB does. I don't have it YET, mostly I've been poaching off someone else and they're gone at the moment

You can't give the Slann a Magic Shield or any other form of Magic Armor, as he is not given an option to take normal Armor.

what about the ruby ring of ruin? What could I put that on? its another fireball basically. Edited the list for more fire and even an exploding skink priest that gives you D6 dice to your magic phase.

Edit: edited list after getting a good long look at the new rule books magic items section oh and my saurus were too cheap, so i combined them and made the saurus hoard!!!!!!

Ruby Ring is a neat move for the TG champ, I like it. On the big saurus block, fight the urge to run them in 3x10 and please run them 5x6. 6-wide means you're getting a solid 18 attaks (+ champ) but you also have the ranks to actually break a good number of enemy units that would otherwise be steadfast. The list still has some concerns for me: - Slann is horribly bloated, I would drop at least one of higher state or becalming, if not both. That's 100 points you could really use elsewhere. - Why is the Slann not the BSB? So cheap for so much return! - I saw your post on the 'battery caster' with the forbidden rod, and a local guy was doing that with a necro in his VC army. I'm not a fan because I don't think + D6 power dice is worth 100 points. Dropping this guy would allow you to keep the third power on the slann and afford more things  - Are the skinks-n-krox supposed to see combat? Why no command at all? There aren't many negatives to taking command any longer, and skink ones aren't breaking the bank. - Please add more TG! Especially with such a tooled out slann, giving him a unit that will still be there in turn 3 is vital. Even just 4 more would make me happy, since it at least makes the unit have full ranks when deployed. And less important, extra handlers for the sallies is always nice, so they can keep their heads together despite in-game snacking. EDIT Here's my shot again, recycling the sacrificial skink for more bodies. Because even a slann has to admit, magic is not the be all, end all of 8th ... L: Slann - BSB, rumination, mystery, higher state, cupped hands, obsidian amulet = 475 H: Priest - engine, diadem, dragonfly = 390 C: 30 Saurus - full command = 360 C: 20 Skinks - full command, krox = 177 S: 16 Temple Guard - ruby ring, full command = 316 S: 10 Camo Skinks = 120 R: Salamander - extra skink = 80 R: Salamander - extra skink = 80 ----- 1998 Basically, everybody got more friends with them, the slann found a flag to hook to his palanquin, and the SNK boys found themselves some command. Result! - Salvage

I really like that list but i seriously doubt I have the models. i'll check when i get home to see if I do. it might end up being my tournament army but for friendly games I like the idea of a skink the priest eats to burn more stuff.

and as for this, i know it's probably not going to ever happen but I don't want to see my slann insta gibbed.

TG are unbreakable with him inside, so the only way for him to brake is for them to die and him not, at which point he's dead anyway.

No they are stubborn with a slann, thats a far cry from unbreakable.
However the odds of failing a rerollable ld9 test is like 1/400 soooo.
