Enchanted Blades of Aiban, Lore of Metal spell.... counts as flaming attacks or no?

I wasn't sure the spell description doesn't say, but, under lore attributes it says it is, but then its talking about the spells that cause damage...

Nope no flaming unless it says so.
In the case of lore of metal a direct damage spell or magic missile has flaming attacks, this spell however is an augment spell.

"The target unit has a +1 onus when rolling to hit with all shooting and close combat attacks until the start of the caster's next Magic phase. All of their attacks also count as magical and have the Armor Piercing special rule."

Does the Armor Piercing part apply to their shooting attacks as well as their melee attacks? I'm told the BRB says a unit with the Armor Piercing special rule must have it specifically mentioned on their weapon for it to count.
