Yup, sounds about right. Even since the days of Rogue Trader GW's never been able to get bindings right.

Well my BRB isn't coming apart but some of my brand new codices/army books (as in a few months old) are having pages coming out of them and such.

It makes sense the sucker would fall apart. Even looking at it, the sheer size of the rule book is enormous, and does not look well made. Its the primary reason I held out to wait for Island of Blood and the little book

Not really falling apart just yet, but it is kind of starting to give due to how large it is.

Ditto, but I take that to be 'luck of the draw'.

Any print run is going to turn out duff copies, it's the nature of the beast. Some just have no luck in buying decent batches!

No problems with my copy but I'd swear that my local GW has been though 5 or 6 of the things as store copies.

I have actually just said F it and cut out all the pages of my BRB and my codexs and put them in a 3 ring binder. Putting each page into those clear plastic sheets.

I got so tired of my books always falling apart and the edges curling up.

Can't you see we have been abandoned? Forget matters of duty and honor to the emperor this is now a matter of pride.

I've got 2 codices and the AoBR mini-rules for 40K and the binding is less resilient than most kids' coloring books. I'm good to my books - ALL of my books - and I fear for these more than any others, including those that are several decades old.

If they degrade any further, I'm printing out a B&W copy to go in a binder for gaming reference. The fancy color version will stay on my bookshelf for careful home use - primarily painting reference.

Mine is fine.

It is all the WHFB army books for the last 2 and a half years that have been falling apart just through occasional reading.

Hopeless.

Me too.

OTOH my venerable Necron codex is still holding strong.

Yeah I don't get that? I own most of the codices/army books for the game (it's good to know they enemy and for me as much fluff as I can get) and I've kept the older versions of books like the Necrons, Daemonhunters, O&G and VC (I also own the updated versions of the 2) and they're great anf fine. But my newer books are all falling apart and losing pages. My Ogre Kingdoms book hadd all of its pages fall out of the cover in the first week (and it was only moderatly used)

Methinks this is a ploy by GW so that players have to go back and buy another book once theirs falls apart. It's all about the money these days.

Every 8th ed. BRB I've seen in a GW store (open copy) is practically falling apart. Not a real great example.

Its starting to a little bit, but its still in good condition.

All my 40k codices are in excellent condition, while my WHFB army books seem to be made out of tissue paper.

Really is stupid.

Codexii are far worse. I just bought my Guard codex and after about four days of sitting around my room, it's already missing a couple pages....wtf...

My brb is okay. Nothing's fallen out yet, so it's okay.
