I normally put the Damsel in the Archer unit, the BSB and Prophetess in the KotR, and the two lords in the the grail and questing knight, per their vows. Hopefully get Throne of Vines, Regrowth, and Flesh to stone on the Prophetess to try and regain expensive losses, and make things a little more resiliant. I recently defeated an Empire gunline with 120 handgunners, and 9 warmachines. Any thoughts?

I'd like to hear how this does! It looks well thought-out to me, and might take a lot of people by suprise, especially with many armies (besides brettonians in lance formation) abandoning cavalry in large part (whether that's a wise decision or not remains to be seen!).

Concured, I'd really like to hear how well this does. That many Knights will bring the pain. I've one large unit of Knights in my Empire list which is suppose to be my hammer unit.

Well last night I played the Empire gunline, like I said. It performed admirably. M prophetess rolled a 3 and 3 2's for her spells, so I took the three spells I wanted on her, plus Dwellers. I prayed, so he got to choose to go first or second. He went first, and did some pounding with some warmachines. Am EXTREMELY well judged, and bounced cannon ball, landed on my general and bounced through the grail knights. I failed my Look out roll, and then passed my Blessing ward. Which was amazing. Yeomen got decimated by a hellblaster. Mortars drifted, and the 2 other Hellblasters and all the Handgunners were out of range.
My turn I marched everything up. Cast Throne of Vines which he didnt dispel. Then cast Flesh to stone on her unit with irresistable force. Throne saved the miscast. Now the KotR BSB and my lvl 4 wizard had +4 Toughness. Failed to cast Regrowth on my Grail knights. Shot my archers at a cannon and did nothing. Now he has 1 more turn of shooting to stop me...
He opened everything up. Cannons didnt do much, hell blasters and hangunners dropped my grail unit down to my general and the unit banner. Questing knights were knocked down 3 or 4 models, and a few Knights errant were killed from each unit.
Every Knight unit declared a charge. The Pegasus unit of all things rolled low and failed their charge. I rolled a 6 when I needed a 7! Meh, it happens. My magic failed for the most part. I got Wyssans Wild Form of on the KotR unit as the Flesh to Stone spell only lasts a turn. He lost 1 detachment of handgunners, most of a parent handgunners unit and 3 or 4 warmachines.
Now it goes down hill REALLY fast. Kinda gross for only being turn 3. He doesnt really shoot a whole lot any more because most of my stuff in combat. He takes some more casualties during his assault phase, and then I reposition some winning units for more charges.
Now, I declare a couple more charges, which included the Pegasus knights, who finally realized they are on flying horses and charged. After that, he had half a parent handgunnner unit and one of its detachments, 2 cannons, maybe a hell blaster, 2 mortars, some outriders, and his BSB and General sitting behind his lines on horses in a unit of the two of them. So, he gave up at this point.

Good to see a bret knight army doing well (instead of the usual M@A and treb spam)
I'm considering running a army similar to this except for 200 points so I'll have to see I have as good fortune as you

I am pretty sure that the virtue of hereoism will not work with magic sword and the new rules state you have to use the magic sword making the virtue of heroism useless. Check me.
On another note how are the questing knights doing? I am worried abou the AS 3 in combat combined with the loss of the charge asf.
How about the impetuous for the knights errant. Having to roll every time someone if within 20" with little chance of actually making the charge seems rough.
I have also been considering the mounted yoemen, how has your experience been with them?

The virtue of heroism rules were FAQ'd to be just heroic killing blow, thats it, no caveats

EmilCrane is correct. Just Heroic Killing Blow.

Questing Knights are mediocre. Their biggest benefit would come from assaulting monsters. Ignore fear and terror, survive the 3-4 wounds dealt to them and then swing back with great weapons. Pay 10 pts for a banner and make their GW's flaming. Thats a feasible plan, but to be honest, they are in there because I have them, and need them to fill the points, lol. But that is a doable role for them. For the points, Pegasus are far better.

Just put them within range of the General and BSB, and you really dont have much of a problem.

I think the Yeomen were a bit out of place in this list. Due to the size of the game they really cant function adequately. There are so many knights in the list that the role of fast cavalry is relatively moot. The one time I used their Vanguard movement, they got blasted first turn by handguns and warmachines. So, in smaller lists with less knights, they would function relatively well. In larger games, their role is surpassed by the speed of the army. Again, for the points, Pegasus are better.
Also, has there been a ruling or a general consensus on the whole 3-model lance ranks counting for steadfast and disruption?

The consensus is TFG's won't let you do it.
Oddly enough all GW had to do is copy over some rules from monstrous ranks to the Bretonnian FAQ

Awesome to hear the knight heavy lists can do well when used right. Best of luck in future battles.
