Greetings to you, finest warriors and traitorous scum, hail, veterans of a thousand battles, bearers of the holiest and foulest of insigniae, followers of the creed (I said creed? I meant CREEEEEEEED!) of fire and steel! Honour to you, heroes of the Dakka!
I've followed DakkaDakka for about half an year, and I've always been amazed by npt only the incredible work, the military-grade tactical studies and the pro modelling and painting examples, but the tonload of pure fun you guys put in almost every article and thread! You would have dragged me to strategic tabletop gaming, like a screaming soul from the Warp, if I hadn't already been playing for five years (or maybe six?).
I love this site maybe as much as WH and WH40K; being an incurable romantic, I've always played nearly-suicidial armies, both in modelling and playing (like the never-ending horde of purely fooyslogging IG and the Imperials in WHFB): can you imagine anything more inspiring than rolling (obviously with almost no results) more dices than your opponent can stand (I'm not kidding, I really have an opponent surrender after the second 20 minute long pointless shooting fase), launching volley after volley of "well-ordered" flashlight (more like low-powered led light, the empire is really concerned with power efficiency) fire or using the brilliant strategy of human ablative shielding?.
What else can I say? Keep up this fantastic work!
