This looks just fine. Nice job

The only thing I could possibly recommend is dropping the sponsons and upgrading the tanks to demolishers. LRBTs with sponsons gravitate towards sitting still, while the mech side gravitates towards moving forward quickly. Why bring AV14 if it's going to be hiding behind AV12? Why spend the points on tanks when artillery will do the same job for cheaper?

If you can avoid the urge to send forth your flimsiest units while driving a gap between them and your most durable units, this list will do fine. If you can't, then switch them over to demolishers.

I agree with Ailaros, drop the tanks for artillery. They are cheaper and do a great job. If not drop the sponsons so you never have to remain still. Demolishers if your taking a LRBT. As for your command squad, drop one plasma for a med-pack. Trust me, you'll need it. Its a great investment.

Agreed. Since most of the meat of your list is in the Chimeras, leading the way with your Demolishers, with Chimeras flanking to protect their side armor, will provide clear shots for the powerful cannons while providing a distraction so the Chimeras can get into optimum range (Meltaguns and Heavy Flamers)

Otherwise, yes. Drop the Russes and get Artillery as they can sit back and fire from out of LOS and be much more useful to you.

Personally, I'd consider dropping the infantry platoon for more veterans. Those platoons aren't really going to do much damagewise with only BS3 and one meltagun. If you drop the COmmand squad and the three platoons you should be able to get another 3 vet squads to take full advantage of their awesome Ballistic skill and be able to concentrate 3 Meltas or Plasmas in one vehicle.

I agree. Since your not running a blob anywhere, just put more vets and load up on special weapons instead of the IP

If what you're looking for is a mechvet+artillery list, this is pretty much the way to do it.

My only complaint is the med-pack. Think real long and hard about which is better: turning a 66% chance of losing a plasma gunner to a burn into a 33% chance, or taking an extra plasma gunner so you get one "free" casualty, while being able to fire an extra plasma gun out the top hatch (for half the price)?

You know the answer is the latter. Burns happen, it's what you do while they're happening that's the greater part.

I'd drop the 2 plasma pistols and the medipack guy for another plasma gun and a multilaser scout sentinel, or something.

Ya man - are you guard or are you guard? If a plasma gunner dies horribly from his own weapon, say 'Faith in the Emporer!' loud enough for all to hear, take him off the board, and carry on. 4x Plasma FTW!

In all seriousness, this looks like a solid list. 50 scoring squishies is plenty for 1500, and if you roll 3x 3 pies in a turn, man o man!

Fun and Fluff for the Win!

Ya, this looks good, also remember, you can issue BiD on your own CCS, making Gets Hot more moot.

... unless they're in a chimera, in which case they can't receive the order.

That said, your flimsy flak armor is good enough, after all...

That wouldn't make sense if you couldn't issue orders from your CCS to your own CCS.

Commander: Men! Fire!
Vet: What's he saying? I can't hear it over this Slaneeshi Daemon Prince banging our chimera!

well, you can issue orders OUT of a chimera, but no unit embarked in a chimera can TAKE orders when they're in a chimera.

As stupid as it is, a unit can't give an order to itself if it's embarked in a chimera.

As such, it's more like:

commander: Fire on my target
Chimera: VROOOOOOOOOM!!!!! Dakka Dakka!! VROOOOOOM!!!
vet: I can't hear gak!
