What colors will I need to fully paint an AOBR set into a Raven Gaurd force? I presume black, white, red (shoulderpad lips?), and gold for the termies and dred. I want to pick all the colors up at the massive sale my local art store is having tomorrow (40% off all acrylic paints ). Am I missing any of the little colors for details? I will be mixing black/white for the greys, and the white with a wash of some old brown I still have a bit left of should cover purity seals.

Black, red, white, silver, and maybe a bit of blue for lenses or eyes. Also get a pot of flesh colour and a fleshy wash for the models with skin.

Don't forget the metal parts of the models.

Raven Guard may use other colors than red for markings.

IMO, you need:

- black + blackish wash
- browns ( bleached bone, brown washes )
- white / greys ( highlights / basecoat for lenses )
- red, green, yellow, blue ( details, markings, lenses, lights )
- a metal color ( boltgun metal )

kool, looks like all I need to pick up is some red and white. Also, is there any way I can make a wash? I heard that diluting normal paint would work (1:10 ratio), but after trying it on a my first test marine i realized that it doesnt really work. The wash doesnt group in the crevices, it kinda just sits on the surface and adds black to everything your brush touches... which sucks. Any other methods would be great.

You're going to need to get some grey to highlight the armor, and form the basis for your white.
