This is something I started work on an hour before going to bed last night, so it's had around 2.5 hours on it so far so in the early stages
Still needs the upper torso adding, his hat, need to sort out the skin texture and also I need to make one side of his face have a load of bionics

Thanks,

Tom

Holy smokes, I don't have any sense of scale since I don't know how big that coin is, but it seems like a big piece to be using only GS. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but it'd probably be easier and cheaper if you used a polymer clay.

It's about 45mm. The cutting mat has a 1cm grid on it.

Wicked carrot - It's a good start mate, but i'd recommend doing less at a time and wating for it to cure fully before adding subsequent layers. You will have much greater control over the proportions and overall neatness this way. Areas of the face structure arn't really consistent with his intended expression at the mo.

Given the two colours I can see (and that you've only spent a couple of hours on it), it appears you've done it in two sittings. Slow down and work in more layers and you'll see a big improvement in the quality of your output.

Keep it up though, it's looks like it could be pretty cool when you've finished him. Look foward to seeing what bionics etc you've got planned.

The main bulk was done with some green fimo over foil and I am starting the details with greenstuff He is around 45mm so far yes, will be bigger when I add the hat and torso

Slight update! I have started on the hat and done some more to the bionics
Any fingerprints/ rough edges will be sorted out as they are either a sort of foundation layer or need filing down a touch

Thanks,

Tom

Also do people think he needs more bionics on the right side of his face (your left) I am tempted but don't want to ruin it!

I think it looks fine as is. Very very nice sculpting skills you've got there. Astounding.

I think his nose looks a bit wonky so he may need a "nose job"

Maybe not so much as needing more bionics , but I think a badass scar or two, or perhaps an obvious skin graft might be called for. So far I think this is a phenominal piece of work. Can't wait to see it finished!

I have started adding some scars to his face tonight I may start the eagle on his hat! This might be quite tricky!

Here is a slight update.
I have started to work with a mix of GS and white miliput in some areas as it seems to have an interesting quality which I am exploring at the moment It has some of the tack that greenstuff has as well as being quite soft and easy to smooth out like miliput. It seems to be working thus far

Tom.

And one in black and white as the different colours might be distracting.

Really nice work, great to see some more of your stuff WickedCarrot, however there's just one slight issue I can see, the face is not symetrical,. This may not be an issue as the slightly larger side is the bionic one, and with the texture I can't tell if it is going to be Bionic, however if its going to be flesh it will look odd, however if it is bionic excuse my knit-picking, I'm watching.

His large collar should shroud a lot of the cheak area I think, so the slight off scale of the face should matter once that is in place, but there is still work to do on facial detail

Thanks for the possitive comments!

Impressive sculpting man, one or two fingerprints here and there I think, but apart from that, it looks pretty much set imo.
Good work!

Sorry about these small step updates but I have a commission to do as well so I have limited time to get this done
Put some wire frame shoulders in place, I think they look roughly right... but your opinions may tell me otherwise!
I've tried to bulk out the jaw a bit (still WIP) and I hope I have sorted out one or two iregularities

Thanks,

Tom

I think his head looks way to big for his body... :(

I am going to take the head off and do another head for this body and perhaps just do the head separately.
