I was just wondering what are the thoughts on this BA army

HQ
Reclusiarch w/ jump pack, infernus pistol

Elite
2x Sanguinary Priest w/ jump pack and power weapon

Troop
2x 5 man assault squads, meltagun and vet w/ power weapon

FA
Baal Predator w/ TL assault cannon

HS
5 Devistators w/ 4 missile launchers

It's quite a small man-count but I think the FNP combined with the massed power weapon attacks could prevail...

thoughts?

PS I dont play blood angels I was just making a list to see if its worth getting a small squad...

well the HQ isnt a chaplain, its a reclusiarch which costs a bit more. the baal bread is also a fast attack. I say drop the dev squad and the power weapons. give the sergeants power fists instead and add in some more assault marines

Sorry yes Reclusiarch (the HQ chaplain choice essentially!), so drop the devistators (don't like the blue helmets anyway!) and add more marines - to a squad or as a seperate squad (at the cost of the dev squad could probably manage to get about 6 more and bump up the squads to 6 each... then put a priest in 2 squads and the chaplain in the other (although it would be nice to have a FNP chaplain!!)

Here's my advice. DRop the power weapons on the Sannguinary Preists the last place you want them is fighting in assault anyway so why waste the 15 points on them?

Get rid of the devastators they are completely at odds with the rest of the army.

Make those assault squads 10 man and probably triple melta is your best bet (2 meltas and an infernus pistol).

That would allow each of your squads to handle anything they're likey to face at 1000 points.

I was thinking of PWep spam in melee.. I've seen lists with veteran assault troops wiht claws and shield...

Also the priest is a veteran and would give 4 pwep attacks on the charge as well as FNP

Nothing wrong with this. Shields on one wound 3+ save models are rarely worth the effort. However:

Yes he is. But he's also an IC with 1 wound. If he's in combat the enemy can and will single him out and kill him. Then you've got no FnP or Furious Charge for the rest of the game. His value is in the FnP and Furious Charge (without the later your power weapons will really under perform). So you keep him at the back of the unit and move everything else into assault first so that he can never make contact and never gets to fight. Otherwise your Fnp/FC bubble will be burst...
