Subject: Making a Nob Biker Squad: Is it viable?

Although one of the most expensive units I've come across, they just have too much potential to pass up. Plus the modeling is amazing, I mean... nobs on bikes, how much more ridiculous can this game get? The only problem with this power unit is that its cost can get out of control very fast. Partially because the base model is 45 points, and if you want cybork bodies its 50. And partially because in order to do some crafty wound allocation, you must make their wargear all unique. Partially because power klaws are 25 points a pop.
After talking with Dash of Pepper, this is what he recommended: (yes its over 650 points, no I wont be able to take one squad like this)
1. Painboy
2. Bosspole
3. Powerklaw
4. Powerklaw + Kombi-Skorcha
5. Powerklaw + Ammo Runt
6. Big Choppa
7. Big Choppa + Kombi-Skorcha
8. Big Choppa + Kombi-Skorcha + Ammo Runt
9. Waaaugh! Banner
10. Normal Nob (Kombi-Skorcha optional).
Is there another way to make it work? Leaderships an issue I know, but we can always bosspole the complainey nob.

To my knowledge, no one has ever made a successful Nob Bikers list. But, if you used the "search", you'd know that.

Well, this may be stating the obvious, but take a warboss on a bike with this unit, now you're Ld9 base and with the mob rule you are now fearless.
And with the boss there they will be a troop, at the very least making your cost go in to something that can score and will leave you room for more burnas and lootas.
Warboss: bike, PK, attack squig, cybork body, and optional kombi-skorcha is around the 150 pt mark. He will make your nob bikers from scary, to OMGWTFBB-AHH!

I figure then with atttached warboss, the unit goes from probably must kill to send every unit at them to take them down. Still, probably makes them killy enough to handle something like that. To the play test lab!

Well, they can turboboost and will probably hide behind some wagons.
Just beware of heavy flamers. NO cover, and wounds on a 4+. On the bright side, you have wound shenanigans and if they're close enough to flame, they're close enough to omnomnomnom.

I'd have some bosspoles and instead of kombi skorchas I would use kombi rokkits with ammo runts to make sure you pop a transport before you assault not burn yourself out of one.

How about wagons to cover them? And warbikers are expensive...
