So far, iv always played a more shooting dwarf list. I wanted to try out a new build. So here it is:

Lords: Dwarf Lord Shieldbearers GW, MRo Kragg the Grim, 2x RoFury, MRoSpite, RoStone 296
Runelord: Anvil of doom, Shield, RoStone 323

Heroes: Thane BSB, MRoChallenge 125
Runesmith MRoBalance shield RoStone 127

Core: 20 Warriors GW -> Longbeards -> Rangers FC 305
20 warriors shield -> longbeards FC 265
15 warriors shield FC 160

Special: 20 Hammerers Shield FC RoSanctuary 305
20 Ironbreakers FC RoCourage 320

Rare: 10 Miners Steamdrill 135
Flame Cannon 140

I know the flame cannon doesnt look good here and it is not certain yet. Just comment please =)

Dwarfs are immensely strong and resilient, broad of shoulder, wide in the girth, with big hands and broad feet. As well as being physically robust they are also mentally tough. And then there are slayers...

Nice list, but i would exchange the flamecannon for a gyrocopter.

Let us know how it works out.

"live's gonna suck when you grow up, and then you face my dwarfs."
20.000 Dwarfs
6.500 Lizardmen
3.500 WOC
3.000 TK
2.500 High Elves
2.000 Empire

2.000

You really want a strollaz rune in there, and i would probably drop the anvil if your going close combat and get a cannon, rune of forging/organ gun.

Even if your going combat a couple warmachines will really help with weakening there big blocks or there big dragons and hydras.

i know i wanted strollaz but i didnt have enough points for that. The anvil is indeed not very logical if you like to get it to close combat. The point is that it gives extra dispell, and it can make units get into close combat easier. thats why i took it with me. The flame cannon swap with gyrocopter could work, but ill have to try that for a few times thx for comments

A note: Miners aren't rare- they're special.

I think at this points level, an anvil *and* a Dwarf Lord might be too much. The anvil has big potential in combat armies because of the ability to extend your charge range, or charge things that slip past you.

Also, with the anvil, you probably don't need another runesmith, unless you're expecting ridiculous levels of magic.

I'm eager to give it a run myself, but can only see taking both a tooled up lord *and* an anvil at points closer to 3000...

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Maybe you are right but i feel kinda naked without enough dispell the hammerers with the lord kinda rape every unit they encounter, with or without character in it. The only regret i have there is that the hammerer unit slims quite fast compared to other better armoured dwarf units. Ironbreakers are great but lack attacking power, miners are just fun turning up in the enemy rear/flank. Normal warriors can easily top some other core units, but when facing things like black orcs they wont last very long :p played a battle which had to be canceled right when i was about to break through his ranks so i found it really hard to stop right then This list is fun, but i kinda miss the multiple wound warmachines...
