Right in the rule book it state you move 6" in the movement phase and 6"in the assualt phase.

Now i have played Eldar a few times but only the same person he has alway deeprstriked his spiders then in the same turn moved them in the assault phase ,aswell and fireing in the shooting Phase

The BRB states after deep strike you can make no other moves (unless with a special rule aprt from running ) now i always thougth this odd but he has always stated it does not say he cant use the assult move in the BRB nor does it say anything to this effect in his codex (i could be wrong since i dont have the Eldar codex )

Now in the Tau codex it does say you can't make th assault move in the same turn you deep strike

So having discoverd this i was just asking can the spiders use there jetpack assault move after DS after fieing in the shooting phase becuse it does not state anywhere they cant (unless the rule of no other moves ie assults and such in the same DS turn applies )

Just wonderd since i was of the thought that if spiders could, so could any jetpack unit untill i read the Tau codex

thanks

Being able to make an additional move in the assault phase is indeed a special rule that Warp Spiders have, nothing to do with jump/jet packs (which are different things btw, Spiders have jump packs). He should be rolling for it though, its a 2D6 move in a single direction not a set move distance and any doubles means he loses a model.

Technically Warp Spiders have "Warp Jump Generators", not jump-packs; but they are Jump-infantry.

Powerguy does have their rules correct though; the do 12" move, Shoot and a 2d6" (exact, not up to) jump in a chosen direction, that could result in loss of models due to doubles(they still move though) or landing in impassable terrain in the assault phase, instead of assaulting. They can also assault as normal(up to a 6" walk)

Everything with them is spelled out in the Eldar Codex, page 36.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Second jump move is "up to 2D6" " if you read it again

Also remember that jump and jet infantry are allowed to walk, if they so please (such as avoiding dangerous terrain rolls), unless their codex specifically prevents them. The jump move is actually not the default move.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.
