I just want to get a clarification on what happens to a vehicle once it is immoblised and has no weapons left. The rules as written seem to say that a vehicle that is immobilized and has no weapons is still alive until it gets hit with an ADDITIONAL 'damaged' result, i.e. another result of weapon destroyed or immobilized. This means that if, for example, a vehicle is immobilized and has only one weapon left, it does not become destroyed once that last weapon is destroyed and would have to suffer one more damaged result before counting as destroyed. This seems counter-intuitive and contrary to 4th ed. rules but I'm aware that it doesn't mean it's wrong. So, essentially a vehicle can be sitting there immobilized with no weapons and it won't count as destroyed until you hit it AGAIN?

Correct--assuming by "hit again" you mean "got a Damaged result again".

It is not counter intuitive at all. Just because all the weapons are gone and the engines damaged doesn't mean the vehicle suddenly goes "GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD!" and explode Worms Style. A brick still has uses. It blocks LOS and can Contest objectives.

As for your question, it stays there until you cause another WD, immobilised or Destroyed result. If you just Shake or Stun it, it stays there.

It is also exactly how it worked in 4th ed...no change in 5th.

I thought in fourth edition the vehicle counted as destroyed as soon as it lost its last weapon while it was immobilized or became immobilized while having no weapons. In either case, thanks for the clarification.
