(Apologies for the quality of the photograph)

The Black Templar have requested the aid of the Imperial Guard to help ward off the Eldar occupation of a former Imperial stronghold. (I'm playing my friend's Space Elves this weekend in an Apoc game, and I wanted to play with an Imperial Guard toy). I want this to match my Black Templar tanks, so I've gone with the black base color. I have just completed a Baneblade/Banesword tank's construction. Unfortunately, the humidity in Houston is over 75 for the next few days. So, it will have to wait until Thursday before I can prime it. I can paint it Friday night, but doubt I'll complete it in time. Bummer. Anyway, how does this paint scheme work on IG tanks?

Your highlights are fairly strong, but very neat so it's not too overpowering. Interesting scheme not using metallics. I like it! If you could paint up a platoon or two of Guard to go with it, that would be lovely

Sorry. The Black Templars invited the IG tanks to come and play. The IG troops will have to stay at the base and play Madden 40k ...

Very neat and well painted, my one critique would be that the plasma on the guns should be a little highlighted, as it's supposed to be glowing... unless that's just my personal preference. Still a great job.

Look at the size of 'em!

That's some meticulous lining - it's very sharp looking. I'm envious of your ability.

Colors are unique. I think I'd like to see an army that carries the theme. If it's a one-off I think it'll look a bit off.

Boy I like that lining though.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Observations on complex unit wound allocation: If you're feeling screwed, your opponent is probably doing it right.

That looks great and is a good way to keep your Imperial armys looking the same.
