Greetings one and all.

I am partaking in an escalation league which is nearing its tumultuous end. This month, the final month, requires that every person take a 1500 pt list that will be used in about 4 regular games throughout the month. At the end of the month, every person will take his 1500 pt list and will partake in a single, giant Apoc game involving over a dozen players.

I am a Black Templar player who is quite used to playing regular games, but I am largely unfamiliar with Apocalypse. I know the rules, I know about the irregularities, but I have played very few times, so I could use some advice regarding general tactics or list-taking advice.

Thus, if anyone has any general suggestions as to general Apocalypse Tactics or advice as to what to include in a Black Templar list would be much appreciated. What are some good Strategic Assests for a largely close combat army? (Yes, Flank march has been banned.) What are some things I should take or avoid in my list? Are there any units that generally do excellent, and any others that are really useless at such a large scale?

Essentially, I am trying to create a 1500 pt BT list that would be effective both at regular games and at an Apoc Battle, while trying to figure out how to run it. Any advice towards this goal would be largely welcome. Many thanks in advance.

Sort of. The FLGS running the event will randomly provide a couple super heavies to each side. I believe there is a stormlord, a stompa, and a reaver titan.

However, aside from these, no one can take fliers or super heavies as they cannot be run in a normal 40k list!
