I hope that somebody here has a memory that goes back far enough to help me. I am looking for an old, old photo of a 'Eavy Metal painted Eldar Harlequin from the late 80s or early 90s, back when they regularly featured the work of readers who sent in photos.

The miniature in question is Trouper # 13 in the standard lists, distinctive due to its masqued face with a single tear under one eye.

One leg had been painted in a black and white checker pattern, and the other leg was white with one red stripe and one green stripe.

The arm holding the chainsword had been converted so that it was held over the head of the figure rather than in front of it. The chainsword was painted in a blue marble-veined effect.

Pretty tough, I know, but if someone can send me a scan of the photo or at least tell me what issue of White Dwarf it was in (I saw it in a friend's issue more than 20yrs ago) it would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly I can't help you, as I wasn't in the hobby at that time, but I am AMAZED that you remember the description of what it looked like to such a level of detail after 20+ years.

Yeah! Who needs balanced rules when everyone can take giant stompy robots! Balanced rules are just for TFG WAAC players, and everyone hates them.

Honestly cannot help all too much, but I googled it and found this site. This listing in particular might be in the right step, look around on this site though and you'll probably find it.

Nothing currently, got out of the hobby, maybe getting back in?
