I am trying to use the sponge weathering technique to create rust/grime and wear and tear on the armor of my death korps fellows. So far I have not met with great success and was wondering if anyone had a idea what colors would make a good weathering effect on them. The armor color is a medium green.

thanks for any idea's

I like tin bits and brazen brass drybrushed here and there. It's quick and maybe not as sophisticated, but damn does it look sweet on the tabletop.

Rust looks really good with a mix of dwarf bronze and (IIRC) vermin brown. To give it texture, add some baking soda. It works a treat.
