I wanted to start a thread in the Tutorials section where we can share some sites/ideas we have/found on how to make easy (relatively) Thunderwolf Cavalry. I have found two recent ones I would like to share.
The first one is from BoLS.

While looking through the comments section I found a link to this on CNC.

Both of these conversions look good depending on what you are going for. I wanted to know what else the Dakka community has found in terms of converting TWC. I know a lot of people are interested in them and don't want to fork over all the money that is required to get 4-6 Canis models just to have all of them look the same. Any other tutorials out there?

While not easy, you can check out mine done from bloodcrushers. Requires some good greenstuffing to make it work.

Awesome TWC! Those look really good, I guess the "made easy?" part should have been left off my title, none of the conversions will be easy... But yours look good.

The second part in the article was just put up. These are my TWC conversions using Chaos Knights as a base.

The easiest way it so buy the giant wolves from hero clicks, and just slap on a marine on top of it.

I just used DND dire wolves like this one http://www.trollandtoad.com/pd1755758.html?associateid=97_2 and cut the spine looking bits off.

Then I sawed off the marines' legs where they connect to the pelvis to spread them out enough to fit on top. You can green stuff some saddles and pin the marines on if you want, but it's not necessary.

Yes, unfortunately many tournaments won't allow you to use model conversions that don't consist of at least 50% GW models. So using a giant wolf from another line won't work for those tournaments, but otherwise yes I agree buying a wolf model would be best.

I've seen the Scibor/MaxMini resin Wolves and they're pretty alright. I do dream of a Khornate army of Berserkers riding Juggernauts though.
