Nimble Dark Rider

Another noobish question, though i suspect this may also have something to do with the difference between editions as well.
The dark elf book says that their sorceresses may use any number of power dice when attempting to cast a spell, they are not limited by their level like other wizards.
the brb, tho, says that a wizard may use between one and six dice when attempting to cast a spell - nothing about their level.
Is there something i missed reading in the rules, or does this have to do with different editions?

Different editions and special rules.
However dark elves may throw as many dice as they want at a spell (even more then 6)
Specific trumps general in this case.

ok thanks, was confusing me a bit.
I rather enjoy the idea of being able to roll more than six dice for certain spells XD

I believe its in the FAQ that they may indeed use as many dice as they like. Always worth a look, this edition the FAQs are actually pretty good.

Well they are limited to 12. Since no where in their rule set do they discount the cap on the power pool.

Fair enough. Though they could recharge the pool with death magic's attribute (or save a die or two to throw Power of Darkness) if they so desire...
