Anyone knows a website with pictures for all the different editions of everything?
I'm new to this game and I'm having trouble guessing from which edition are the stuff I'm thinking about buying.
I guess there is no such website but if someone has at least something about old versions of EMPIRE, ORCS AND GOBLINS and CHAOS SPACE MARINES it would be very helpful.
Thanks

www.solegends.com has pictures of the old ( RT era) models, but they don't have any of what I'd consider 'middle edition' models. It can be hard to set a strict 'edition number' on models, since they made some major model line changes that didn't line up with editions. For example, The old metal MK VII tactical marines and devastators came out in late 1st edition ( IIRC) but were used all through 2nd and partway through 3rd, when they switched body styles a bit and weapon styles from shoulder to hand like they are today.

Here's an easier question:
If anyone has some spare time, could you please tell me the editions of all models on those pictures?
Is there anything older than the previous versions of the current models or it's all from the last two versions of models?

The cruder goblins are from around 4th/5th edition, others are later. The Shaman is from the Warhammer Quest Lair of the Orc Lord set. The first one marked "no idea" ia a gretchin helper for 40K, probably released for 2nd edition.
Apart from SoL you might have some luck with the citadel collectors wiki.

You could always scour eBay and get some 3rd edition rulebooks or whatever for dirt cheap. Codices, armybooks, and BRBs all go for next to nothing when they're an edition behind.

Any idea if the Black Orcs box is the one just before the new one with the plastic Black Orcs?

The first Black orc box was plastic one piece figures from fourth ed on. The next Black orc box was metal from sixth ed and was replaced by the current plastics when seventh ed was new.

EDIT- already been posted, my bad. For stuff that just recently went out you can usually tell by looking at current models and comparing. You don't need current edition models anyway, play with the ones you think look the most badass. I think the older Daemonettes were 10x better, so I bought some off ebay. If you can get ten million last edition tactical marines for $40, don't worry about whether they're up to date
