I am trying to create a 3000 Point Bretonnian Army with only 5 knights of the realm and hundreds of peasants. I figure ill use 750 Points on lords and heros which leaves me 2250 points for men at arms and bowmen. So around 400 Men at arms, 40 man hordes with full command, i could also use lots of archers. Any ideas?

This is not going to be an effective army but it will be hella fun to use.

Yes its doable, take trebuchets and bowmen as well, they're wicked effective especially with volley fire

What kind of lords and heroes are you taking?

Basic lords, Vitue of empathy, grail vow, sword of the lady's champion, Gromlin Great helm, Gauntlet of the duel, shield. BSB is just there because i have to have one.

Might want a damsel or two?

This will cost 875 $ for the troops alone. Have fun painting them all

Sounds like a horde to end all hordes. Technically you could out do orcs and goblins in this regard. Best of luck in this huge task! Also yes you'll need a damsel or two. As ANY way to improve your units abilities is going to still be needed.

Take a prophetess as your general and any knights give Virtue of Empathy (its only 20 points for a duplicate or 30 for a triplicate)

Don't forget trebuchets

Yea, that was my plan. It will be a great horde army.

You could always proxy

If I were to say get all my troops from WF in the form of saxons/vikings I would only need $260 worth of troops. Of course they would be like 300 years in the past but a bloody peasant is still a bloody peasant!
