Purely for my own curiosity, I'm curious to see what's most popular and what's least popular in your area. Are Space Wolves hard to avoid? Is it nothing but green tide everywhere you turn? Anecdotal evidence is fine, no need to conduct a survey, just base it on what you see on the tables. Top two most popular, top two least popular.

I seem to run into a lot of tyranids recently... though they were little kids.

Not as many marines as one would think. No SW, oddly. Mostly BA and C:SM.

A few chaos guys.

Orkz seem to be second most popular.

And I've only seen one IG player. Go figure

Codex Marines and Guard are the most popular. I'm gifted with a well rounded player base.

Lots of Space Marines of various types in my neck of the woods so far.

Plenty of SM in my area (mostly BA or SW), oddly though most of the armies I see are IG. Although we do seem to have a good mix of all armies aside from Daemonhunters (apart from my own 500pt army), Dark Eldar and Witch Hunters.

The campaign I play in has:
2 Chaos (nurgle and khorne themed)
3 orks
1 Tau
1 Space Wolf
1 Space Marine (Crimson Fists, me)
1 Tyranide
1 Necron

The league I play in as several of the same player has above, but adds:
1 Blood Angel
1 Necron
1 Space Marine (Ultramarines)
1 Eldar



So yeah... not that many Space Marines and no IG whatsoever...

Lots of vanilla SM and blood angels in my area. Plus some IG, a lot of orks and quite a few CSM. No DE or Eldar really and nid's are non-existant.

We do have a witch hunters player tho.

In my regular group (which is fairly small), we've got me, an Ork player, an IG player, three CSM players (though one organizes the group and never plays), a Blood Angels player, a Necron/Nids player, a Space Marine player, and an Eldar player.

Outside of that group, I also know an IG player, a (bad) Tau player, and a Space Marine player.

In local tournaments, I see a pretty well-rounded mix, overshadowed by a crapton of Edward and Jacob Marines.

So, in my own group, CSM is most popular.

I have yet to see a single Sisters or GK player in my city, and I am the only Daemons player I've seen.

We have a mixture of almost everything in my area-and it's a small town area. We have (and almost everyone has multiple armies):
7 vanilla marine armies
3 tyranid armies
3 eldar armies
2 tau armies
3 blood angels (I'm the only one who plays it regularly)
1 daemon army (me-woohoo! there can be only one!!)
4 chaos marines
1 space wolf army (hasn't started playing yet though)
2 dark angels
4 imperial guard
2 necrons
1 ork
0 dark eldar (used to be 1 but he quit until the next codex)
0 black templar (I'm waiting for their next codex, excited to play them and toss off my nipple marines)
1 who splices witchhunters/daemonhunters into his IG

This is out of like 16-17 people total in my area

mostly feels like I only play Tau players in my area. Which is probably why I have an irrational fear of railguns

Space marines. 4 of us have at least enough to run 1000 point games. There's a vanilla, Space Wolf, Blood Angels, and Black Templar.

There are 2 people with Orcs.

1 each has Tau, Necron, Chaos Marines, Eldar, and Nids.

Space marines are EVERY WHERES but that ok where arn't they all over the place.

Nipple marines. Many many nipple marines. We've got at least one of every other army except Witchunters.
