Anyone know where it says that a Wizard cannot wear armor? I am just missing it or something. I remember hearing it back when 7th war around (before I started playing), but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the rules now. Anyone?

Actually the rule isnt that you cannot wear armour, it is that you can only buy *magic* armour if you have access to the mundane equivalent.

Nos, if you can only wear magic armor if you have the mundane equivalent then a Chaos Sorcerer wouldn't be able to have an enchanted shield since a mundane shield is not in it's equipment options. I often see lists where a chaos sorc does have an enchanted shield.

I thought that if your sorc wore armor of any sort you would be able to wear and type of magic armor. Looks like I'm going to have to re-read some stuff.

They "clarified" in the FAQ that WoC sorcs could take magic shields - it is in their description that they do, and it makes sense!

I think in their entry or the magic section is states that they can take armour also.

It does not state that, it simlpy states that WoC sorcerors are known for wearing armour and bearing shields.

Nos, which FAQ clarifies a WoC sorc can take a shield?

Gah, it WAS in the 7th ed WoC FAQ.

Regardless take shields, no tourney anywhere i have known about has ever had an issue with it. YMMV though...

Nos, that's pretty surprising. You're usually stricter on RAW, from what I've seen. If they've taken the permission to take shields out of the FAQ...

Well, you can argue permission is from the sentence talking about WoC wizards wearing armour.

I'm only strict on RAW when it is clear - here it is heavily muddied
