Hey, it's Dakka News

Just a heads up for those that might not frequent the Find a Game forum very often. We're having a Dakka specific meet and greet! Come meet Dakka members, have fun, go here for details!

Sounds great, please make it be a sunday so I can make it that's about the only free day out of the week I have since the GF owns my saturdays

EMPChild is planning on running a tournament on the Sunday, I believe.

I suspect that the Saturday will be somewhat more relaxed/hobby/get-together oriented.

The WHFB "Mini Campaign" @ 500 points, complete with map and effects carrying over from each game, will be happening on Saturday.

I think a larger 40k tournament will be organized for Sunday (by Empchild, mentioned above).

The purpose of the fantasy event (and a similar one for 40k on Saturday) will be to have fun gaming but to have a relaxed enough time that we can all get to know each other . The rules as they stand are in the thread grey_death linked to, although I'll be looking for some feedback on them and ideas in the WHFB forum, soon!

There you go . It may be that some fantasy players are there for Sunday, I'm not sure what Empchild is planning. I'm sure he'll post up the details, in this or the Find a Game thread!

But there will definitely be lots of fantasy happening on Saturday

Up to Mikhalia , as it wouldn't be that much more effort with me running a 40k and fantasy at the same time.

Whatever people are up for, and whatever fits.

We have 20+ tables down in the bunker. (Less now with the addition of a GargantTrain, and Red Oktober. Orks moving in, taking over the space.)
And many hundred pieces of terrain.

And 8 more tables at the store. Probably plenty of room for whatever we want to do.

And if stuff really takes off, I can rent more space from the mall. Thank Gork for large sporting goods stores that close down, right next to the bunker.)

You guys plan it, it should fit.

Are we keeping a list of whos coming? I wouldn't mind knowing personally, and it would make your lives easier too.

Having been to the recent Dakka get together at Warhammer World in the UK it was really good to put real faces/names to tags/avatars and get some gaming in as well.

I hope that this goes brilliantly for you.

I've just been convinced, too- I'll be doing a new force specifically for the fantasy one . At 500 points it's a great excuse to do something new!
