I think intro postings are always so awkward. Much like any sort of company retreat that includes "icebreakers".
The down and dirty:
Started Warhammer (
40k and WFB) in 2002 when my college roommate introduced me. Began with a Space Wolves army, then switched to Tau for 4th edition as I enjoy pain and hurting myself. WFB was always all about the Skaven. I proudly own over 4000 points of Skaven at this point, which includes 320 Clanrats. Yes, I did have a game against Empire where I took up my entire side of the table.
2006 started a dark period of no table top gaming. Some people call this "marriage". A few months ago a fellow librarian of mine dragged me kicking and screaming back into
40k thanks to the quality of our local gaming store (Wizard's Keep in
GA). Now I'm working on a brand new Ork army for myself that makes use of those Crisis Suits (KillaKans), Dreadnaughts (Deff Dreads of course), Rhinos (Trukks) and Hammerheads (Looted Wagon with a Boomgun....just because.) that I have lying around.
Fun is easily first, winning comes second (unless it's a tourney, then I'm out for blood). Hence the Boomguns being prominent in my army, as coming from a Skaven background, Ork shooting cracks me up!
