so the plan would be to move the larger block in the middle with the 2 smaller blocks and the trolls guard the sides and the archers and artillery fire at will

Havnt seen the O&G army book in a few editions. Can you have a Black Orc warboss without a unit of Black Orcs?

Yes.

I Have never had any luck with trolls. I am a huge fan of the doom diver catapults they can dish it out for the points cost.
The goblins will do you nothing they have short bows so need to be within 16 to fire at that you need 5's, if you move you will need 6's then needing 5's and 6's to wound most often they won't do anything.

Drop both goblin squads to buy a black orc big boss and throw him in one of the boy units and use the extra points to pump it up.
If your units start standing still in 1000 pts it isn't good.
