Hi all, I'd like some feedback on a list I've put together this evening. The topic title probably gives away the contents.
This is a cut down and tweaked 1500 point version of a 2500 point list following the same theme, and I've tried to make it so it can handle anything and everything, but I'm probably a llittle in favour of anti armour weaponry since my most regular oppponent runs a mechanised IG list - while we play for fun, getting bashed around by AP1 and AP2 blast template weapons (and Ogryns) is starting to feel a bit repetetive.
---
Captain, bike, relic blade, storm shield, articifer armour, hellfire rounds, melta bombs and an aroma of cheddar - 210pts
Master of the Forge, servo-harness, bike, power weapon - 150pts
8-man bike squad, attack bike with multi-melta - 265pts
8-man bike squad, attack bike with multi-melta - 265pts
Dreadnought, 2 twin-linked autocannons - 125pts
Dreadnought, 2 twin-linked autocannons - 125pts
Ironclad Dreadnought, seismic hammer & meltagun, DCCW & heavy flamer, drop pod - 180pts
Ironclad Dreadnought, seismic hammer & meltagun, DCCW & heavy flamer, drop pod - 180pts
---
My own thoughts on the aboveas I was plotting the list:
The two bike-troop squads should probably be combat squadded to increase my scoriing units on the field (though normally we just play annihilation).
Captain is my anti-mostrous creature/high toughness/2+ save/everything guy, which makes him expensive, should give him a combat squad to increase survivability.
MotF can be nasty against armour and high toughness units thanks to servo-harness, though pronbably best used as a bully picking on lesser units/repairman for the dreads, give him a squad to increase survivability.
Autocannon dreads should find a nice bit of cover they can shoot out of, focusing on infantry, low armour value vehicles and monstrous creatures.
Ironclad dreads are probably going to get popped pretty quickly, but when dropped into enemy lines will hopefully take a tank or two with them and draw enough fire away from my troops for them to get into the opponents front lines.
I've never run bikes before so I don't know if I'm missing anything, any pointers etc. are welcome.
