Haven't been to a gaming convention since the early 90s. Interested in all aspects of 40K and wondering what convention would be better to attend next year, the Adepticon or Gamesday? Trying to get my wife interested so I looking to attend workshops, painting, sculpting, etc. Definitely will check out the gaming but probably wont do a lot of that this trip. Any advice?

I'd go for Adepticon. They have extremely good workshops, with a lot of very high quality painters. Much better selection to choose from than Games Day, which by it's nature is kind of limited. Plenty of open gaming, too.

Yeah, there really isn't a contest between GD and ACon; Acon wins all the way. The only thing that would maybe make me choose GD is if it were within an hour of drive distance and even then I'd probably still go to ACon.

Cool, that is what I was leaning towards looking from looking at the past event schedules. They have a good amount of vendors and stuff for sale at Adepticon?

Adepticon rocks, definitely should attend. Many vendors/workshops/gaming...and it's not 40kCentric anymore.
