I created a tau list before and after playing a tournament with it i realized large weaknesses. I will now try to fix these weaknesses and give tau another go.

The Idea is to make them come to my firewarriors to wipe out my scoring units and hopefully use the mobility of the hammerheads to get side armour shots on vehicles.

The crisis suits will focus on killing transports and heavy infantry.

I'm not a tau player, but ive always had a hard time with broadsides in a pair of 2 w/ a multi tracker.

I would swap one firewarrior team for some kroots. You can use the kroots to bubblewrap the fire warriors. I personally dislike large fire warrior squads, preferring the 'make a devilfish scoring' -approach, but that's just personal taste.

I dont like kroot very much.
I only see them as useful with kroot hounds.
And i cant be bothered to buy kroot hounds.

I'd toss the MLs in favor of more Pathfinders where the multiple ML hits are more useful.

Minor thing: Fire Warrior promotion is "ui", not "o".

Each set of PFs is only going to yield 2 ML hits (on average). Not much is it? Increase a BS by one or two and maybe a Cover Save down by one? I'd beef them up to 6 or 7 PFs, as you'll want to eliminate the Cover Save on the target (like an enemy tank or pack of orks) as well as bring BS up to 5.

Oh, and Kroot are also usable without hounds. Infiltrating them will keep your opponent from scout moving too close to you. They're also easier to use as bubble wrap, cheaper and a longer line per point.

This is true. You can always ML the BS back up, anyway.

I find the increased wounds and leadership combined with the drones and the injector make him very durable and 15 points cheaper isn't much for what the el has less. And then you waste a markerlight that is much better spent on the crisis suits.

And i only have ten kroot. They just arent my style.

The list still has some weaknesses:
- You can't block assaults.
- You don't have much anti tank. Hammerheads are anti horde and only anti tank in a pinch. Broadsides and Fusion Blasters are anti tank.
- You have a lot of pathfinders and are low on killy stuff like suits.
